Mini Granny Square

I made these little squares into a headband. I used sport weight yarn and a size E hook to make the headband

Directions for the first square:

ch 4, slip stitch to make ring.
Round 1: ch1, 12 sc in ring, slip stich with 1st sc.
Round 2: ch 1, *sc in next 3 sc, ch2,* around, slip with 1st sc.
Round 3: ch1, *sc in next 3 sc, ch2, sc in ch2 space, ch 2* around, slip with 1st sc, finish off

Directions to join addition squares:

Note: Repeat directions in brackets to join the first and last square to make the headband

Do the first two rounds of the first square.
On round 3: ch1, [sc in next 3 sc, ch2, sc in ch 2 space,ch 1, slip stitch in the ch 2 space in the bottom right corner  that is closest to the center of the joining square, ch1, sc in next 3 sc, ch 1, slip stitch in the next ch 2 space on the bottom left that is closest to the center of the joining square, ch1, sc in ch2 space, ch 2,] *sc in next 3 sc, ch2, sc in ch2 space, ch 2* around, slip with 1st sc, finish off

I ended up joining 10 squares for about 20-21 inch circumference. Feedback on this pattern would be appreciated.

I did edit this pattern with some feedback, hopefully, it is less confusing. I may have to add more pictures in the future.
